I offer a range of herbal tinctures and juices for hormonal, emotional and physical conditions. Tinctures are a traditional way to preserve medicinal herbs for use later on, dating back for hundreds of years. They are a particularly useful way of preserving herbs that don't dry well (eg. coriander), but can be used for any type of medicinal plant.
Tinctures are made with alcohol, which is both a way of extracting the active ingredients from the herb and also a means of preserving them. If you wish to remove the alcohol content, put the dose of tincture into a cup and pour on just-boiled water; leave for 10 minutes for the alcohol to evaporate before use.
The normal dosage is 5ml up to 3 times a day. You can take tinctures directly from a 5ml spoon or mix with water or fruit juice. However, the strength and dosage of tinctures varies. Please consult the label in each case.
